#4073 Maybe this isn't the place to post this, or the time. Maybe the only person who sees this is the admin. I just need to rant to the whole school though about this, or at least someone. As frustrated as I get sometimes with Rollins and some of the spoiled kids here on campus, I am a proud member of Generation Y. I was reading an article about how the job market now sucks and how Generation Y is handling it and saw this quote: "Now children, I guess mommy and daddy never told you life is not fair." To that man, FUCK YOU SIR! I learned this lesson when I was fourteen and watched my mother sob in her bathroom about how we couldn't afford the mortgage to our house anymore. I had to watch as my father BEGGED for work over the phone, and then get stabbed in the back. I know life is not fair! The previous generation made damn sure that we get to go into the shittiest economy since the Great Depression. So fuck anybody who believes that my generation is lazy and not willing to bust their ass, because I would give anything and more to have the chance to prove them wrong and I know plenty of people who are busting their ass to have a shot at success.
I apologize for this. I know this is may get some hate of people saying this is too personal, or why are you posting this, but I just hate the bias "adults" have towards this generation. I know there are some that give this generation a bad name, but like c'mon. Who hasn't been young and stupid once? Or twice? I'm a good student and good person, but I've done some pretty stupid shit. Are we such a judgemental society now that no mistakes are allowed? -sighs in frustration- I guess the saying holds true for everyone in multiple generations- "Haters gonna hate."

Two completely different arguments. People are allowed to do whatever they want, but that does not mean everyone has to like or support it.
