#4147 Hey guys, it's me again. Hope you aren't going too crazy during finals month. Remember to work now, and get good sleep. Don't lose sleep for random crap, you WILL implode. Anyway, as your senior, just wanted to put in a word for the upcoming elections. I've been at Rollins for four years, and I've always viewed the elections as little more than a popularity contest. However, this year SGA has given voters more time to consider the candidate (kudos from me, fellas!) In the world outside, the lunatic who's chosen to run the madhouse is usually the guy who, honestly, markets himself well. Basically, this guy kisses the most baby heads, posts a few memes on Facebook, makes a video, and wins the election. However, and the smart people reading this will relate, make sure you don't make a decision on something as shallow as simply good 'campaigning'. You deserve more because you ARE more. Choose candidates on things like ability, initiative, ideas and most importantly, on their ability to LISTEN to you. You want leaders who WORK, period. There is no point in picking a guy with a pretty face, or picking a girl whom your friends advertised on Facebook, who wants to become President so that he has another line to put on his resume. Don't fall for good advertising when the product itself is made in China. Being in the world we are, it's easy to lose your voice in the crowd. Demand what you want from the people who want you to vote them to power. Make them realize that with the power they derive from you guys comes duty, comes responsibility, and that isn't cheap. I'm not recommending or going against anyone, all I wanted to put forward is: Don't just take a leap of faith. As always, if I've offended you in any way, let these words in one ear and out the other. Your friend, a loyal tar

#4142 One time I noticed a tour group in the campus center. I took it upon myself to announce to them that: "the food here sucks" just in case the peasants guiding the tour had lied to them as they commonly do.

#4141 I feel like, even if there are a select few religious organizations, I feel like they could be more involved on campus, or even put on events similar to the Diwali festival that was held last semester. I feel like there should be a general spiritualist club for people of any faith from any culture, almost like a more involved version of interfaith. I feel like there's a lot of religious misunderstandings on campus and none of the misunderstandings are being resolved.
