I am not the original poster but there are a few of us staff members who care. Some are graduates, mostly A/S but not guaranteed. Some are just kind souls who care about people in general. The best way to spot us is to look for the broken individuals walking around campus. There is so much good we want to do, but we’re not always allowed to do so.
Ask around to your friends who have jobs on campus. There are some supervisors who treat their student workers with dignity and see their interactions as an opportunity to mentor. Not all staff members use their student workers to do their job for them.
I know a lot of you struggle in your interactions with various departments (I don’t need to name them, we know who they are) but there are individuals on campus who care and want to make your experience at Rollins a good one. We see how you are constantly screwed over and want to do what we can to help with what little power we have.
