#4558 nope these confessions are not about people who didn't know that "some Greek organizations are shallow", rather about people who thought their organization wasn't and got extremely disappointed along the way. And about people who love their sisterhood but can't stand to watch the way it's being carried on on their own campus and don't feel safe enough, don't have enough space in their chapters, to talk openly about their feelings, frustrations, and even suggestions with their own SISTERS. What I think is that the Greek community, more specifically the sorority community, is facing a sisterhood crisis right now.
#4557 I personally think it's less of a "letting shitty people in" issue, as in we're electing shitty leaders for our individual sisterhood. I know mine was great until a change in leadership was made and now it's not as great as it used to be or as it can be, but that's what happens when we, yes myself included, choose egotistical people to be our leaders who don't care about anyone else feelings and decisions as long as they can show to themselves and to others how much power they have. And that is my two cents on this whole situation that apparently plagues more than one sorority on this campus so it is worthy of having everyone paying attention and taking action to make everyone feel loved, accepted, and supported and to try to create less of what people call "sorority tension".
#4556 4548 you're so right about this, and it is a joke starting at the FSL office and its adviser ... the one who is supposed to keep BS from happening at every sorority chapter on this campus, but pretend she is not seeing anything. She is totally lenient on this campus chapters, maybe because Rollins is always so scared of a scandal, I don't know. But just try telling her something that happened and all you'll hear is "that is out of my control". No wonder sororities are a joke here.
#4555 Holy shit. I posted the original confession about my sister being a liar or whatever and all of the ones that followed had absolutely nothing to do with the situation I was referring to. What the fuck have I started? Or more importantly, are all of the sororities really having this much drama? Because I thought it was only mine that was letting in shitty people.

#4554 These sorority girls crying about their struggles and problems make me laugh. You don't know what true struggles are until you're jobless with children to feed, in an abusive and dangerous relationship, or come from an abusive family with little hope of getting away. Basically, you don't know what true problems are, and hopefully, for your sake, you never will. Volunteer to improve the lives of those less fortunate than you and then perhaps you we understand just how great your life truly is.
