I don't think people appreciate the opportunities Mac has given them enough.
I feel like my friends like the way I make them feel about themselves more than they actually like me.
I would hook-up with so many people if I wasn't afraid of STIs (condoms aren't 100% effective you know).
People were nicer to me when I was skinny.
I'm a well-liked person at Macalester. People have even called me popular. Objectively, I have a lot of friends (both at Macalester and elsewhere), and I really like and care about them. However, I feel like none of them truly understand me or know me. Once, during my sophomore year, my roommate even told me she felt like I knew everything about her but she knew nothing about me, not about the deep things. I have lots of great people in my life, but I don't feel a deep connection to them like they have said they feel toward me. I don't know why I am the way I am.
Anybody else find it ironic that those who seemed to organize the #stopwhitenoise protest were mostly white and literally looking down on everyone from the second floor of the CC?
Let's start talking about issues facing American Indians on this campus. I feel as if many of us are not considered POCs by so called "progressives" and are brushed off because some of us "look white."
Saw someone tell a Native American student to stay silent during the #StopWhiteNoise protest at Cafe Mac. I can't believe that even in an event to promote the visibility of white privilege, natives are still silenced
