#1067 I grew up in a poor family. My father is alcoholic who gave up working long time ago. My mother is unemployed. My brother did drugs now lives as a factory worker. I go to Macalester. I have a job who pays me 15$/hour. I work my ass off. Just as much as I could because not only do I have to financially support myself, I have my parents to worry about. Yeah, I earn more than some of you who still work on campus and earn 8$/hour. BUT that does not make me RICH. That does not make you wish to be me. That does not make me the luckiest person. That should not make you jealous. YOU don't want to go through the life I have been through. You call me rich because I earn 1k a month and go to school on financial aid when your parents can pay the school tuition. Please think before you open your mouth next time (all the time!). Also, being a senior is stressful enough, please don't give me more stress!
#1066 I'm constantly afraid that all my friends are just people who are too nice to tell me to go away. I feel like some pathetic hanger on whenever I spend time with people, and everyone I really want to be friends with can easily do better than me. I'm not even a fucking first year. What do you do when you want better than your personality deserves?
