"I'm a freshman and tonight I'll perform in my very first Dance Troupe Show!! I confess that at dress rehearsals yesterday evening I felt like I was experiencing something truly magical--to see MIT students, the brightest, most stereotypically nerdy people in the world completely transform into emotional, passionate dancers... it was incredible. It made me realize that all of the hard work, the rigorous hours of prod week was worth it; this is our chance to inspire and be inspired, to bring out the artists within ourselves that people don't usually get to see. "I feel like I don't know what I really enjoy (academically) anymore. Everything just feels the same -- I try to solve every pset or study for any exam in front of me without really emotionally reacting to whether I really enjoy (or hate) the material. (For context, I'm a freshman taking mostly GIRs/first-level subjects in my proposed major). I used to love a specific subject in high school, but I just don't feel it anymore, and it's making me reconsider my major....but then I don't know what to consider anymore because I don't feel like I have strengths/weaknesses or loves/hates academically anymore, just work to do that I don't love but don't hate either. idk"
