if cigarettes are banned on campus, does that mean e-cigs and hookahs will be too? so dumb. the cost tuition is doing more to my mental health than second hand smoke ever did to my lungs.
sometimes i go to the blue garden bushes and take a nap. so far nobody has noticed and its so peaceful. sad that i wont be able to much longer now that its getting cold out.
what ever happened to that red headed freshman. his name is eric and we used to have lunch all the time in early september but now i never see him and i want him to know how much i like him. he lives in the heights i think but i live in sorin so we never run into eachother.
There was a quote in the Oracle a bit back. A professor was quoted as saying "I am more concerned with my over-medicated students than my over-nicotined students." Addiction to cigarettes is just as legitimate as a medical phenomenon as asthma (not liking the smell of cigarette smoke is not a medical condition. It is a preference). It is unfortunate that people afflicted by the former have aggravate the condition of the latter. Please don't misplace your energy. Instead of trying to legislate the lives of your peers, for selfish reasons (e.g. "i don't like the smell of cigarettes), spend your energy trying to alleviate the damage caused by the tobacco industry (e.g. "I am dying from cancer, because i smoked my whole life"). Fight the problem at its source. Write to your representatives. Damn.
