To the uptight person who tried to tear me down during our Fiction class:
I sincerely apologize that I mentioned female genitals in my piece, I forgot that men are supposed to plug our ears when feminine sexuality is mentioned. Next time I want to express myself in my art, to discover something about my fucking soul, I'll be sure to tip-toe around your precious sensitivities.
Literature is meant to break down social barriers. When you tell someone that they can't attempt to write meaningfully about sexuality and desire because they are white and have a penis, you are only propagating all of the divisive bullshit that is plaguing our society. If the "privileged" people aren't allowed to write about minority groups, than maybe I should just drop out.
I'll let you in on a little secret though: We're all privileged. We go to a fucking private school. Sincerely, The dude who won't stop working his ass off because of someone intimidated by real emotions.
