My boyfriend and I really only say "I love you" casually. And by "my boyfriend and I" I really mean "my boyfriend."

You know, the more lines we draw in the sand regarding gender identity and politics, the more people divide amongst themselves and look for stuff to bitch at each other about. All are accountable. We're too busy sex-shaming and going on about misandry and misogyny and spaces or asterisks in varying trans identities and calling each other's opinions invalid because someone's missing one of many otherwise-matching identity prefixes, so an issue couldn't POSSIBLY apply to him/her (watch, someone's gonna get at me for not having memorized the other six pronouns). And in that sense, we are left bickering, weakened, and very fucking confused. Now yes, these problems exist. We aren't focusing on the divide and conquer strategy that the notion of "privilege" is; something to make a "majority" group feel secure and special, to keep the plebeians in a power struggle amongst themselves, and ultimately keep them distracted from the true ruling class's tyranny over the vast majority of a citizenry. The privileged don’t mobilize because they think what they have is special, and the screwed-over are busy fighting the privileged (or the actual ruling class) for a slice of that privilege. We are trapped in their controlled chaos. We are all in chains and we’re arguing about who got the shiniest set. And it makes me frickin’ sick. Two (or several) wrongs don't make a right. All opinions are valid. Misogyny, misandry, homophobia, trans-sexism, and racism are all part of the same genus. I don't care if you're a man, woman, or you identify as something else entirely. The moment you discount someone's opinion because one of their social prefixes isn't to your liking, you fall into that genus- male-chauvinists and feminazis alike. In short- we're making shit WAY more complicated than it needs to be. Creating more labels is counterproductive to building a society that defies labeling. The nit-picking has got to stop. The answer is simple. It all boils down just letting people do their own thing and live life the way it makes sense to them. If something about you doesn't make sense to someone, don't get super-offended. Just be forward with how it is with you. If something doesn't make sense to you, ask about it politely, and if it still doesn't make sense, then as long as you're not personally harmed, say "still not sure I get it, but as long as it makes sense to your life, right on." If you’re not personally harmed by this and you still take militant exception to the brain or body that someone was born with, then you’re doing it wrong. On that note... I refuse to be shamed and invalidated simply because of what I was born into. Every self-respecting human being should refuse that. Reject the mainstream media and the labels it creates for us (especially Disney, those bastards). Respect the issues that face those with whom you can relate on one level, if not more, and tackle them together instead of nit-picking. Respect the issues that face those with whom you have nothing in common besides your species. Listen. Understand, or at least try. Do NOT assume. Serve your opinion with a grain of salt and give the other an opportunity to do so without interruption. Be receptive when they say “okay, I hear what you’re saying. Now here’s how this affects me. Don’t start a conversation unless you’re ready for it to be twofold. And for sanity’s sake, be open to changing your opinions, and if you’re incapable of that, go back to high school and graduate already. To close, try and end it on a note you can agree upon, and if you want to do something about it, work towards improving that something together through collective action, legal action, and legislation. We’re not going to match on absolutely everything, and we shouldn’t try to. But that which we can agree upon is what’s worth fighting for. That’s how we’re going to chip away at the institution that binds us all. That’s how we can be a socially progressive student body. Love, luck, and lollipops, ----------.

I wish I would have gotten a tour from Johannah when I came to Hamline. Meeeeow! She has those eyes, that when you look into them you just know she is fun. Maybe I should ask Santa for her number?

I see you complaining about girls in your status saying; "These hoes ain't loyal!!!" Perhaps they "ain't loyal" because you refer to them as hoes. And maybe you should reevaluate not only how you refer to the females in your life but also your attitude towards women in general.
