I want to start an online magazine about how to live well in college. Kind of showing people ways to stay healthy and well in college. This would include recipes, DIY projects, storys, reviews, etc. If you are an artist, writer, reader, or creative person, and want to get involved, like this an ill shoot you a message.
I think political correctness is ruining the way people interact. We can be nice to each other, but I'm getting sick of people being offended on behalf of other people.
I posted about the Mtf transgender and sports. Serious question here, what about a cis male who Identifies as a woman, but hasn't undergone any hormonal changes, or surgical alterations? Is it fair for them to be allowed to compete against cis women? Is the anatomical difference an unfair advantage towards the mtf transgender person? Considering that females have 30% less lung capacity on average, womens blood cells contain 20% more water, meaning less red blood cells to carry oxygen, and a woman's resting heart rate is higher than a mans, and on average men have 50% more "brute" strength than a woman of equal condition, is it fair for a mtf transgender to compete against cis women?
I type out so many replies to the things people say here, but I almost never send them. People at Hamline can't debate with you, they get all upity and attack you. I'm really frustrated that because I have conservative values, I'm not allowed to speak up.

Do you ever wonder if the identities you label yourself as are your own limitations? You label yourself as black or white or gay or straight, and you have just placed limits on yourself and what you can do. The world will look at you and it will judge you if you aren't the status quo, if you aren't the "desirable" no matter what, but do you really think broadcasting the one most notable identity you have can help you? The world will figure it out by looking soon enough. I've seen people like this before, just recently I saw one stand with attitude and say "I'm black" to the class when their skin can be mistaken as white and I just want to laugh at it all, not in a bad way, I just don't understand why you put limits on yourself. Even for people who aren't like my example, wearing your identity out for the world to see I don't understand. The world doesn't need to know your different, it can see that, as long as you feel your identity on the inside, why make it harder, why broadcast? I suppose you can say your making a difference in the world? But do you really and truly believe that? The identity that you created is based off a history that was not kind, why continue to rehash that past. Why continue to look behind and not move forward.
