I have an idea. What if we had a designated table at every dining hall (labelled with signs and maybe tablecloths) where people dining alone could socialize with one another? Essentially, you just sit down and have a conversation with random people. It’d be a great way to make friends and promote a more welcoming atmosphere on campus. As an upperclassman and a transfer student, I often don’t have people to eat with, and I feel apprehensive about approaching random people because I know some individuals want to be left alone (including me at times). Any MUSG people want to take on this project?
