Everyone likes to think we live in a post racial society. We do not. It is not acceptable in A LOT of white homes to bring home an African-American mate. It's not socially acceptable for African-Americans to be in National Panhellenic Sororities/Fraternities for the most part, and it's not cool to stand up for racism if you're not black. If you discuss race, you're "race baiting" or described as some other term that takes attention from the issue. Society puts African-Americans in a box. A box of hip-hop loving, ebonic speaking, freeloaders who need the government. Well society, I'm black and I will not concede to your social norms.

Sometimes I eat alone and think 'look at all these people and their friends and shit' and I wonder how many other people are thinking the same thing but since you (general you) don't talk to them you'll never make their acquaintance or possibly start a friendship.
