I live in the Shannon Residence Hall. I can honestly say that I don't feel safe living in this building. I know the CAs are doing their hardest to handle everything, but I still feel as if nothing is getting handled.
There are parties every night. Not every weekend. Every night. I don't know about some of you, but at 2 AM on a Wednesday night, I'm trying to sleep.
I can count on one hand the number of times that the bathroom HASN'T been trashed on Sunday mornings. Oh wait. I can't.
There is a woman that is supposed to come and clean the building every day. She threatens to take the soap dispenser away as a form of "punishment" for the drunk idiots that trash the bathrooms.
Is that legal? It's highly unsanitary.
Quiet hours are obviously not enforced. If you want to listen to someone else's music at 4 AM, then Shannon is the right place for you.
I do want the CAs to know that they are greatly appreciated for the work that they do. I know they have busy lives, and try their hardest to take care of the problems in this building.
I honestly hope that some of you that live in this building take the time to read this.
I think it's time to start acting like the adults that we are.
Thank you.
